Of course there were pots and pans. There was also a small pink Casio, but who would have expected a 70's Slingerland drum set, two older brothers who both played drums, and the band AC/DC. At eight years old, with the song "Back in Black" screaming through her headphones, her brothers sat her behind the drum set, stood nearby air drumming, and soaked their t-shirts with tears from laughter. It was her first attempt at playing the drums and the beginning of a journey from which she has never looked back.  

Born and raised in New Cumberland, West Virginia, Angela Webster was largely self-taught until age 14 when she began studying with Richard Parsons of the Wheeling Symphony and River City Brass Band.

Webster continued her studies at West Virginia University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education/Percussion. After graduating, she taught General Music in the Pittsburgh area, but quickly decided to pursue her interest in performing.

In 1999, Webster moved to Boston to begin studies at The New England Conservatory, but when she arrived she began teaching privately and playing so much around the Boston area that going to school was not an option. She continued her studies with Rick Considine, from Berklee College of Music.

After three years, Webster moved to Austin, TX to broaden her musical experience. She continued teaching privately while playing and recording with some of Austin's finest musicians including Ray Benson from "Asleep at the Wheel."

In 2003, Webster relocated to Brooklyn, NY. She created and maintains a large private teaching studio with over 30 students, including the actor Michael Pena. She has also worked as a drum tech. for New York City's Blue Man Group.

Webster's current projects include: Rhett Miller (front man for the Old 97's) and The Believers, and The Holy Ghost.

In 2006 she recorded and performed on ESPN as a member of the Hank Williams Jr. All- Star Band, which included Little Richard, Bootsy Collins, Charlie Daniels, ?uestlove, Clarence Clemons, Steve Van Zandt, Chris Bernie, Rick Nielson, Burnie Warrell, and Joe Perry.

Since moving to NYC, Webster has performed or recorded with Rhett Miller, Jon Brion, The Holy Ghost, Trixie Whitley, Nicolai Dunger, and the Hank Williams Jr. All-Star Band.
